A little holiday cleaning
Happy holidays. I’ve been spending all of my weekend (and the first part of this week) cleaning the house. It’s my Christmas present to my wife. Usually the housework falls into her lap, but she’s not very good at it. Sorry honey. Anyway, I also got out an old, cheap webcam so that I could play with some time lapse photography. The webcam is wireless so that I can stick it up anywhere in the house and just pull images off of it at whatever rate I choose. Of course I decided to take some time lapse movies of me and the girls cleaning the living room.
In this one the girls are heading down to the corner store to get us some donuts, but they were out. I chase Henry around while we wait for them to get back. We then rustle up some grub from the kitchen to eat before we get to work.

As you can see, this is the day after Christmas and the house has pretty much exploded. Gifts are everywhere and all the old stuff is there too. Here is the short, short version of us cleaning it all up.

And for those with the patience to watch almost 6 minutes of warp speed cleaning, here is the longer version. I especially love watching Henry drag that laundry basket around, Brownie following Edith everywhere, and both girls on the table messing around when I pulled it out to clean under it.

Finally, a little update: My old camera broke. This is one reason for the dearth of updates lately, that has now been remedied by my lovely in-laws. Hopefully, a new camera coupled with the completion of my last semester of classes ever (as a student anyway) will lead to more posts.
