Things are good! We’re all home now and reasonably rested. The kids, including Henry are doing fantastic. Here are some pics and vids for those I promised.

Wow, this kid is pretty amazing already! The only tube he has left in him is an IV for his antibiotics and it only needs to be hooked up when he gets dosed. He gets to wear clothes and be held whenever we want. It’s feeling like we have a baby! Anyway, here are some more pics and vids.

Henry is doing awesome! He’s had his umbilical catheters taken out. He’s been weened from Dopamine (this was stabilizing his blood pressure). He’s almost off of Oxygen and he’s finally started to get some of Momma’s milk to eat. Best of all, Arwen finally got to hold and cuddle him (my turn will be tomorrow).

He’s also been getting some of his energy back. Here he is having a little temper tantrum. The video is kind of long, but he’s cute enough to warrant exposing the masses.

Do I Look Like My Daddy?

Well, I sent Arwen home to get some sleep tonight, so I’m staying here at the hospital with Henry. I’d better get to bed too or my wife will kick my ass. G’night.

Henry is here! He was born yesterday, 07/18/08 at 9:29PM. Other stats include
weight: 7.68lbs. 7 lbs. 6.8 oz.
length: 19.75 in.
cuteness: off the charts

Since Henry seems to be a little impatient and came 3 weeks early he got his own room in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). He appears to have either fluid remaining in his lungs, premature lungs, or an infection. However, he has made some great progress since last night and we hope to be taking him home with us very soon.
